Registered Nurse - Crouse Testing Center (CTC) at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

The Crouse Testing Center (CTC), part of the hospital's Surgical Services, assesses all patients scheduled for elective procedures requiring anesthesia and obtains any necessary medical reports and lab work to ensure a safe procedure. Annually, the Crouse Testing Center works with about 20,000 patient undergoing procedures in the Inpatient Surgical Suites, Recovery Care Center, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Cardiac Catheterization Suite, Interventional Radiology and the Kienzle Family Maternity Center.

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree

*Must complete NCLEX within 120 days

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area.
