Automotive Detailer – GMC of Vacaville Car wash at Wise Auto Group – VACAVILLE, California

GMC of Vacaville is seeking an experienced Automotive Detailer to join our expanding team. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior detailing on new, used, and service vehicles.
• Wash, dry, wax, polish, buff, and recondition vehicles to dealership standards.
• Clean and sanitize interiors including seats, carpets, plastics, dashboards, and cargo areas.
• Use detailing equipment such as buffers, extractors, pressure washers, and vacuums.
• Apply protective coatings or treatments when required.
• Inspect vehicles for quality before delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the detail area, equipment, and chemicals.
• Follow all dealership, OSHA, and manufacturer safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of the role.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior professional automotive detailing experience required (dealership experience preferred).
• Ability to operate buffers, polishers, extractors, and related equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and reliability.

Physical Requirements
(Required for CA compliance / workplace safety clarity)

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Ability to operate and move vehicles safely.

Work Environment

• This role may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Proper PPE is provided and required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience.
