Job Summary
Performs Nursing Assistant duties under the direct training of a Registered Nurse.

Skills
1. Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
2. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
3. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of nursing assistant.
4. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
5. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Work Experience
One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.

License/Registration/Certification
Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant required.
Current CPR training required.

Education and Training
High school graduate or equivalent.
Completion of one of the following:
- Completion of a formal Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or equivalent training program; or
- Completion of a Fundamental Nursing Registered Nurse training program; or
- Graduate from an international Registered Nurse equivalent program.
