The Dental Assistant supports Phase I Dentistry by assisting dentists chairside, preparing trays, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining a clean, stocked operatory. This role also includes patient education, documentation, and administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations.
What You’ll Do- Assist dentists with restorations, charting, and patient care.
- Prepare tray setups, sterilize instruments, and disinfect operatories.
- Take dental radiographs (panoramic, periapical, bitewings).
- Review and update medical/dental histories; provide oral hygiene and post-op instructions.
- Communicate referrals and manage patient questions.
- Schedule appointments, greet patients, complete registration, and process billing.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies.
- Support community outreach and make referrals per program guidelines.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Dental assisting training and knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside techniques.

- Radiographic Techniques
- Coronal Polishing
- CPR
- EDDA
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and computer literacy.
