About This Position
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, analyzing credit history and collecting payments from customers in accordance with the Credit Policy.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee with this job title.
Maintaining effective control of all assigned accounts in accordance with guidelines established in the Credit PolicyClosely monitor cash receivables, establish credit relationships with credit- worthy companies and collect balances within established credit termsCommunicate with inside and outside sales representatives regarding credit decisions, delinquencies, deliveries, credit holds and other information neededInitiate calls to customers with accounts that are past due for paymentManage all aging reports, and work to resolve open receivablesAnswer incoming calls from customers to resolve billing and invoicing discrepanciesReview accounts regularly with Credit ManagerResearch orders and credit holdsGenerate email correspondences and make sound credit decisions on problematic accountsAssist Credit Manager with setting up new accounts and establish credit limitsEducation:
High School Diploma or equivalent, some college degree or credits earned in similar field preferredExperience/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Five years of related work experience Must be familiar with reading credit reports and financial information Strong verbal and written communication skills a mustProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar softwareHigh level of professionalism and persuasive negotiation techniquesAbility to work independently in a fast-paced credit and collections environmentAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of managementHigh School diploma mandatory but college degree or college credits preferredFive years of related work experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills a mustProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookHigh level of professionalism and persuasive negotiation techniquesAbility to work independently in a fast-paced credit and collections environmentAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of management

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
