About This Position
Responsibilities:
This position will be primarily Monday-Friday (10am-6pm) with on-call responsibilities.
On-call responsibilities to include being available to cover shifts 2 weekends a month.
• Participates in assigned Leadership Trainings.
• Assists with preparing the home for DCF, CBC and CARF Audits.
• Assists with intake packets and orientation of youth entering the program.
• Ensures all DSP shift checklists/documents are accurately completed and submitted within required time frames
• Assist with planning and supervision of recreational activities in the home and/or community as approved by Supervisor.
• Participates in weekly Treatment Team with Therapist and provides feedback regarding behavior of youth
• Participates and ensures the cleanliness of house, premises, and vehicle.
• Follows on-call process and procedures and can provide crisis interventions as needed.
• Assist with overseeing budget for the home, ensuring that home is adequately stocked and required financial documents are submitted accurately and within required timeframes
• Ensures that youth case files are in compliance by assisting with input of documents into electronic database.
• Assist with screening of applicants for DSP positions
• Train new DSP’s and provide continuous coaching/training. New staff will shadow Leads after training with RC.
• Schedule/Verify youth attend appointments.
• Enter appointments on the shared calendar.
• Ensure vans are fueled up.
• Upload DSP Pex receipts to Pex. (Not the RC receipts)
• Ensure that any important info is posted on bulletin board.
• Ensure adequate food in the home.
• Ensure staff are following menus.
• Assist with meal preparations.
• Assist with purchasing food/supplies and track inventory of food/supplies.
• Responsible for training reminders.
• Enroll youth in school/summer programs or assist the RC with enrolling.
• Inform RC of any supplies needed for home.
• Assist RC with: Uploading Monthly Paperwork for the home (Fire Drills, Community Activities).
• Room checks- Assist DSP with room searches.
• Assist with completing the monthly DSP schedules.
• In the absence of the Residential Coordinator, the Lead DSP will temporarily assume some of the duties of the Residential Coordinator.
• Assist with delivering Behavioral Health Overlay Services (BHOS).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience working with the targeted
population, or have a Bachelor’s degree in the social services field from an accredited college or university with at least 2 years of experience working with the targeted population. In addition, qualified candidates must successfully pass all state, local, and federal background checks, pass a drug screen and have a clean driving record.
Full-time employees are eligible for coverage under the provisions of our benefits program. This includes 80% coverage for employee Health, 60% Dental, 60% Vision, 100% Long Term Disability, 100% Life insurance, 401K Employer Match, Employee Assistance Program and Annual Performance Bonus. Benefits are effective 90 days from your start date. In addition to the insurance benefits, you will receive 10 PTO days and 5 Sick days annually. Both PTO and Sick time are accrued bi-weekly. We also observe 10 paid holidays per year.
