Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Digital Technologies at Grambling State University – Grambling, Louisiana

Grambling State University invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Computer Science & Digital Technologies. We are seeking dynamic educators and researchers to support our growing programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.

We welcome applicants from all areas of computing, with particular interest in candidates specializing in:

• Computer Science
• Cybersecurity
• Cloud Computing
• Software Engineering
• Information Technologies
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

• Conduct high-impact research and seek external funding.
• Teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing
• Advise and mentor students across academic levels.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement.
• Engage in service to the department, university, and professional community.
• Report to a Chair or other higher-level administrator
• Perform other relative duties as assigned by the Department Head and the Dean

Minimum:

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field (ABD candidates nearing completion may be considered for conditional appointment contingent to completion of doctorate degree computer science or related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
• Experience or interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement.

Preferred:

• Evidence of grant writing, research, and teaching at the college/university level is a plus.
