About This Position
*This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations but will be based at the Blue Bell campus.
**This position requires the selected candidate to submit the PA State Police check, the Child Abuse Clearance, and the FBI Fingerprints to Human Resources prior to their first date of employment.

The STEM Lab Coordinator oversees STEM department biology and anatomy & physiology laboratories. In particular, the coordinator is responsible for coordinating and preparing biology and anatomy and physiology labs taught in Blue Bell. The coordinator guides the programming, maintenance and use of the Sustainability Lab. In partnership with the STEM Lab Manager/STEM Laboratory Safety Officer, the coordinator will ensure safe and efficient operations of all STEM laboratories. The coordinator will supervise part-time STEM laboratory assistants, student lab aids, and other laboratory-associated support staff. This is a college-wide position that requires travel among campuses.
- Coordinate laboratories for STEM biology and anatomy & Physiology courses in Blue Bell by organizing lab room usage, directing support staff, and overseeing preparation of lab materials and equipment.
- Supervise part-time STEM laboratory support staff and student lab aids.
- Coordinate the preparation of materials and supplies for biology and anatomy and physiology labs in Blue Bell.
- Assist faculty in development of demonstrations and experiments.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of laboratory equipment.
- Organize and manage biology storerooms and maintain up-to-date inventory.
- Oversee maintenance of the Sustainability Lab facility and equipment.
- Supervise students working in Sustainability Lab.
- Assist faculty and staff in planning and preparation of programs at the Sustainability Lab
- Coordinate daily maintenance and upkeep of aquaponics culture systems.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in biology, anatomy and physiology, or a related field required.
- Demonstrated experience managing undergraduate laboratories preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and standard laboratory procedures required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of software as related to position requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team-oriented setting.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask.
