Bartender at Trappers Sushi Silverdale Inc – SILVERDALE, Washington

Job Purpose

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while creating a welcoming and engaging guest experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth bar operations, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Provide excellent guest service by fostering a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar and surrounding areas.
• Follow all state, local, and company guidelines for responsible alcohol service and guest safety.
• Restock, rotate, and maintain bar inventory, ensuring accuracy and freshness of products.
• Handle cash, credit card, and POS transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and side work.
• Support team members in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender or in a related role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and bar equipment.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Washington State MAST (Mixologist/Alcohol Server Training) Permit required prior to first day of work.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Work performed in a bar and restaurant environment with exposure to alcohol, cleaning
• chemicals, hot/cold surfaces, and moderate noise levels.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including non-slip footwear, is required.
