OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable inventory manager to join our growing company. The primary goal in this position will be to monitor, report, and manage the company’s inventory levels. This position will be responsible for developing inventory tracking systems, reviewing levels of supplies, reporting shortages, and performing daily analysis. This position will manage the Logistics and Materials teams. The chosen candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, solid leadership skills, and the ability to interpret and analyze large amounts of data.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and lead the Logistics and Materials Managers and their associated departments
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure the company’s on-time and fulfillment KPI goals are met
  • Coordinate with the procurement group, the Sales and Marketing, and the Design departments to determine future anticipated inventory needs
  • Coordinate with the production and production planning groups to determine planned consumption rates of inventory
  • Oversee system minimum/maximum inventory levels, reorder points, and reorder quantities on a regular basis, and make changes to support business operations
  • Monitor inventory turns and ensure best-in-class results
  • Manage excess and obsolete (E&O) material risk items, recommend actions and/or process changes to minimize creation
  • Determine actual E&O material items, and recommend disposition to leadership
  • Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate and mitigate inventory shortages
  • Ensure inventory management systems and processes are in conformance with the QMS
  • Other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational leadership skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, persuade and train others
  • High degree of proficiency in writing, including editing and updating procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and support change management within an organization
  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information.
  • Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information.
  • Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short durations/distances.
  • Push, pull, lift, and carry at least 25 pounds.
  • Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor.
  • Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach.
  • May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Inventory Manager spends most of their time in a fast-paced environment set in a manufacturing/warehouse building. They can expect their daily activities to be split between desk time and time on the warehouse floor, and to provide frequent hands-on training and education of various levels of team members.


REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain

LOCATION:
Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.


COMPENSATION:

A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range for this position is $97,300 - $156,400 annually. The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
