CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a MATERIALS PLANNER to support our Logistics team in cross‑functional operational activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely supply of necessary materials. Working with limited storage space and just-In-time delivery/assembly principles, the Material Planner ensures an adequate supply without over ordering or wasting resources. Proactive monitoring ensures the Customer is supplied as required and by addressing critical supply issues, including the implementation of various applications that are critical to meeting the plants SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale) objectives.

What You’ll Do (Key responsibilities, not limited to)

  • Perform forecasting and data analysis on existing and incoming inventory, and predict/prevent stock-outs
  • Understand and manage risk to minimize impact on production schedule
  • Own cycle count validation & inventory adjustment to department schedule
  • Manage supplier performance to maintain planned inventory levels for COMPLETE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, adapting to unplanned demands (including rush orders, orders for slow moving parts within the global supply chain.)
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas for improvement
  • Utilize company ERP system that is in place and ensure that the data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required
  • Monitor the integrity of Bills of Material (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed upon target levels
  • Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy
  • Minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimal liability
  • Manages all inventory/distribution activities (Receiving, stock transfers, cycle counts, inventory balancing)
  • Contact suppliers on a regular basis (ex. For schedule changes) and when material is rejected, etc to ensure production schedule is maintained
  • Ensure that all paperwork is processed accurately and completely in a timely manner
  • Track critical shipments after normal business hours when necessary
  • Daily review of schedule vs inbound material to ensure production coverage
  • Expedite schedules on a need basis

What You Bring

  • Undergraduate degree/diploma in business, materials or operations management desirable
  • Previous experience of materials planning ideally in the automotive or manufacturing environment is required
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and overtime
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
  • Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience working with suppliers is preferred
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in activities intended to improve operational processes
  • Ability to root cause and develop corrective actions to prevent problem recurrence
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Supplier Management
  • Ability to enter and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel, Portal, Trans4M and Rocket
  • Must be Customer Focused and Safety Oriented
  • Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and importance of tasks
  • Manage time efficiently while working on several different tasks at once

Work Schedule & Pay

  • Schedule: Full‑time, On-site, Manufacturing Operations
  • Hours: ROTATING SHIFTS (Days and Afternoons), M-F 40 hours per week. Weekend work when scheduled as per customer demand
  • Overtime: As required, in accordance with company policy and applicable legislation
  • Compensation Range: $60,000–$80,000 annual

This range reflects our current expectations as of this posting’s date. Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical locations, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
