Finance Intern

This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in finance, accounting, and accounts receivable operations within a dynamic corporate environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support sales order processing, revenue recognition, and customer account management. The role offers exposure to real-world financial workflows and systems, including invoicing, collections, and billing processes. You will develop critical analytical and communication skills while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the finance function. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in finance or accounting who want to build practical experience and make a meaningful impact. Accountabilities:
  • Support sales order bookings and review purchase orders for proper revenue recognition
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections by contacting customers, reconciling accounts, and resolving inquiries
  • Help process invoices and ensure timely billing for professional services
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to correct order issues and support finance workflows
  • Contribute to both AR Collections (80%) and Revenue Team (20%) tasks, maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Participate in month-end and quarter-end processes as needed to meet deadlines

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, including summer and school year
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Salesforce or NetSuite knowledge preferred but not required
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak financial periods
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the finance team
