About This Position
Under the general direction of the Director of Imaging Services, the Radiology Support Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of radiology support staff and coordinating a wide range of daily activities on behalf of the director. Reporting to this position is the Lead Patient Services Representative, the Patient Services Representatives, Radiology Media Room, Interventional Unit Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant.
The Support Leader performs services according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. The Support Leader works cooperatively within the department and with other service lines throughout Emerson Hospital to create a system of quality health care.
Maintains current knowledge in areas of the radiology front desk and the Media Room. Responsible for interviewing, evaluating, training, educating, and daily supervision of the Patient Service Representatives for all shifts within radiology. Manages the daily operations of the radiology support team, including staffing schedules, payroll, and radiology workflow. Assists the Director of Imaging with department needs such as Joint Commission preparation, quality metrics, and managing department policies.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Experience
- Five or more years experience in office management/administrative support in healthcare preferred.
- Two years of supervisory experience prefered
- Licensure and/or Certification
- N/A
- Skills
- Strong Data Entry skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Kronos, HIS/RIS, and PACS preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Effective leadership skills required.
- Excellent Customer Service
- Ability to do on-line research required.
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Point of service collection experience preferred
- Flexibility
- Experience with service recovery and patient complaints
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of JACHO and HIPPA regulations
