Job Description

OVERVIEW
Responsible for the overall efficient supervision of the maintenance employees which would include, but is not limited to oversee the repair and upkeep of machines and mechanical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
• Responsible for directing a maintenance work team by maintaining all GMP rules within the team.
• Responsible for insuring the use of Lock out/Tag out on the maintenance work team and the enforcement of same at all times by all PFI team members to create a safe environment for all employees.
• Managing work orders, preventative maintenance programs and inventory controls.
• Leading and participating in continuous improvement teams.
• Trains maintenance team members on maintenance disciplines including but not limited to:
o Troubleshooting existing equipment
o Troubleshooting electrical failures
o Arc, MIG and TIG welding
o Belt repairs
o Minor lathe and mill usage
Education
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Work Experience
• One year manufacturing experience desirable

Skills and Knowledge
• General Maintenance
o In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance and production planning.
o Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).
o Communication and service-minded.
• CMMS AMM Database
o The ability to write notifications, work orders and technical feedback in SOMAX/SAP database.
