Job description:
We are seeking a Human Resources Intern - Summer 2026 to join the HR team in our Wilmington, NC office. An HR intern will assist with various administrative tasks within the Human Resources department, such as onboarding, offboarding, compliance, I-9 verification and recruiting processes.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of an HR Intern may include:
- Onboarding: Assist with facilitating the onboarding process for new employees’ post offer acceptance. This includes launching onboarding, conducting background checks/drug screens, I9 verification and providing updates to new hires and managers.
- Offboarding: Assist with the offboarding process and communication to the affected employee and departments.
- Compliance: Support HR Team to ensure policies are up to date and compliant with employment laws, training, labor law postings and company policies.
- HRIS Administration: Maintain and update employee information in HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of personnel files. Support HR team on preparation of various reports.
- Recruitment: Posting job requisitions, reviewing resumes, conducting initial candidate screening, coordinating interviews, and communicating with applicants.
- Other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree focused in Human Resources or Business-related degree
- Weekday availability in the office.
The selected candidate will be compensated at a competitive rate between $17-$20/hour.
