We are currently seeking a skilled plastic surgeon to join Dr. Jeffries’ surgical aesthetic team at Copper Aesthetics located in Traverse City, Michigan.
For 20 years, Copper Aesthetics has been the premier destination for aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Northern Michigan. With a 95% cosmetic caseload, a mature, trusted staff, and a Quad-A certified OR, this is a turnkey opportunity for a motivated surgeon to thrive in a "vacation mecca" while honing their craft alongside a seasoned team.

Northern Michigan is where the Midwest comes to vacation. Based in Traverse City, you will enjoy four distinct seasons along pristine freshwater shorelines. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Consultation: Conduct comprehensive consultations, reviewing medical history and examining files to provide optimal surgical and reconstructive options.
- Clinical Education: Clearly outline the risks and benefits of procedures, ensuring patients are well-informed and comfortable.
- Surgical Excellence: Perform a range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, including breast, body, and trauma-related cases.
- Continuum of Care: Manage all pre-operative preparation and post-operative follow-up, including wound management and monitoring healing progress.
- Collaborative Call: Participate in a reasonable 1:5 call rotation at Munson Medical Center (Level 2 Trauma Center).
- Practice Integration: Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to the evolution of clinic policies and administrative excellence.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD/DO) and an active license (or eligibility) to practice in the state of Michigan.
- Completed Residency in Plastic Surgery; additional training in cosmetic or reconstructive surgery is a plus.
- Clinical Competence: Sound understanding of patient aftercare, wound management, and surgical safety.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term trust within a loyal community.
- Detail-Oriented: A commitment to impeccable bedside manner and high-standard clinical outcomes.
- Ambitious Mindset: A desire to grow a practice and eventually move into a partnership role.
