Position Overview
The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting classroom instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring that students receive the individualized support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities
Provide academic support to students individually or in small groups under the direction of the lead teacherAssist in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activitiesSupervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal as neededSupport classroom behavior management systems and reinforce school-wide expectationsMaintain a clean and organized classroom environmentPrepare instructional materials, set up classroom supplies, and complete clerical tasks to support teachingAttend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and coachingProvide coverage for other classrooms when necessarySupport the academic and cultural vision of Amani Charter SchoolCommunicate positively and professionally with students, families, and staffQualifications
