Working under the supervision of a principal investigator, the scholar will design and execute research studies, analyze complex datasets, and contribute to the development of new methodologies and therapeutic strategies.The position offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals. The scholar will be expected to publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, present at national and international conferences, and assist in preparing grant applications. The scholar will be expected to also contribute to the academic and educational mission of the department.
This role is ideal for a motivated, independent researcher with a doctoral degree and a strong background in clinical or translational research. The successful candidate will demonstrate scientific curiosity, strong analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to advancing pediatric research and patient care.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesResearch Expertise: Demonstrated experience in biomedical, clinical, or translational research, preferably in pediatric or related health sciences fields.Scientific Knowledge: Strong understanding of research design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation methods relevant to pediatric research.Technical Proficiency: Skilled in laboratory or clinical research techniques depending on the research focus.Data Analysis: Proficiency with statistical and computational tools for quantitative and qualitative data analysis.Scholarly Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and grant proposals.Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team, including clinicians, scientists, and trainees.Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple research projects, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous research records.Ethical Conduct: Comprehensive understanding of research ethics, data privacy regulations, and compliance with institutional and federal research policies involving human subjects or pediatric populations.
