Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the company’s human resources functions to support operational excellence, compliance, and a strong organizational culture. This role partners closely with leadership to execute the company’s strategic goals by managing HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and workforce development while fostering accountability, consistency, and professional growth across the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and development of HR and administrative staff
  • Organize, oversee, and support HR workflows, processes, and systems
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations
  • Address employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Implement the CEO’s vision and strategic objectives at the human resources level
  • Lead, mentor, and train staff on HR policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Develop strategies for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining high-performing employees

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California labor laws
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and corrective action processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation
  • Serve as a resource to leadership on HR best practices, compliance, and risk management
  • Communicate HR policies, updates, and directives clearly to leadership and staff
  • Support a consistent and positive workplace culture aligned with company values
  • Coordinate benefits administration, leaves of absence, and employee support processes
  • Collaborate with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational growth

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of human resources practices, employment law, and compliance
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven leadership, professionalism, and discretion
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (Rippling or similar)
  • Tech-savvy, with comfort using digital tools and HR systems

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Prior experience in an HR leadership or management role preferred
  • Experience supporting a growing or scaling organization
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or other regulated environments preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Regular use of phone, email, and video conferencing tools
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed

The pay range for this role is:
72,800 - 93,600 USD per year(8350 Archibald Avenue)
