About This Position

Jr. Account Representative

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local governments.

We are seeking a highly motivated, Jr. Account Representative to support our sales team and help grow our Fire Station Alerting System business. The Jr. Account Representative position is primarily focused on providing support services to the sales team, developing the sales pipeline through lead qualification and cold calling, and closing new sales opportunities assigned to them. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, capable of working independently and part of a team, and passionate about developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients in order to continuously build pipeline and close opportunities.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new Fire Station Alerting sales opportunities.
  • Close new business that generates revenue in alignment with revenue goals of the company.
  • Throughout the sales cycle, respond/act to opportunities and prospective customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage accurate data, notes, and activity reports in CRM.
  • Develop knowledge of PURVIS Systems Fire Station Alerting products and services to gain a thorough understanding as they relate to target audiences.
  • Develop a strong understanding of target buying personas, solution offering, and competitive landscape.
  • Successfully build relationships with prospective clients and partners to sell products and services.
  • Successfully build internal relationships with employees, including key operations and technical staff.
  • Provide sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Provide proposal support, including writing and editing proposal content.
  • Generate and deliver quotes and Statement of Work documents in a timely fashion.
  • Travel to customer locations and applicable trade shows or on-site demonstrations.
  • Participate in and exhibit at industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Participate in oral presentation strategy, development, and execution.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff as well as existing clients.
  • Actively manage daily responsibilities to support the advancement of the Fire Station Alerting System sales pipeline through cold calls, appointments, sales presentations, and quotes/proposals while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Qualifications:
  • Sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a competitive drive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees.
  • A self-starter who thrives with autonomy and takes initiative.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to conduct product demonstrations, oral presentations and consultative meetings via video conference calls and in person.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high attention to detail..
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with managing sales activity in CRM. Monday.com CRM experience is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelors’ degree desired but not required.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% nationwide, primarily to customer sites and industry conferences.
