Laboratory Technician at LifeBridge Health – Westminster, Maryland

JOB SUMMARY

Assists and supports function of the lab. Facilitates collection, accessioning, ordering, and transportation of clinical laboratory specimens. Provides customer service by interacting with physician offices and hospital associates to communicate test results verbally and electronically. Trains and orients new associates and students, and assists in the resolution of problems. Duties are performed according to established departmental and hospital protocols and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent

• Preferred Associate's Degree Field of science

• Less than 2 years Detailed oriented and customer service skills Required

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Learn and utilize the hospital computer and phone system. Interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Follow proper safety regulations while handling potentially infectious materials. Ability to operate lab equipment specific to assigned area.
