We are currently seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Superintendent for Water and Wastewater to take charge of the on-site construction management of our most critical water infrastructure projects. This pivotal role demands leadership at the highest level, ensuring the successful execution of complex wastewater and water treatment plants, pumping stations, and stormwater management systems. The ideal candidate will bring a proven history of overseeing multifaceted construction operations, with a sharp focus on delivering projects that not only meet but exceed expectations in quality, safety, and operational efficiency. You will be instrumental in driving the construction process, coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring that every project is completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget.


Responsibilities
  • Command the daily operations on the construction site, managing the entire lifecycle of water treatment projects, from site preparation to the final handover.
  • Ensure that all construction activities meet project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
  • Enforce strict safety policies on-site, conducting regular safety briefings, inspections, and training sessions. Lead by example to create a culture of safety that minimizes risk and prevents accidents.
  • Efficiently manage the allocation of materials, equipment, and labor, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively and that construction activities stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors, laborers, and equipment operators, coordinating their efforts to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of project milestones.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years in construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing wastewater treatment facilities, plant expansions, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional certifications in wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, or construction management are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies specific to wastewater treatment facilities, including concrete, mechanical, and electrical systems. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead construction teams, manage multiple subcontractors, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Must have a valid, insurable U.S. driver’s license.
