Position Summary:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the performance, availability, and usability of HRTLP’s IT environment across all locations. This role supports manufacturing and business operations by ensuring reliable infrastructure, responsive end-user support, and effective coordination with external IT partners. The ideal candidate is a hands on problem solver who thrives in a fast paced, production driven environment.

This role focuses on IT operations and support and does not include ownership of application configuration, system design, or development.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and ensure timely patching, updates, and system health.

• Support and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and backup systems to ensure reliability and recovery readiness.

• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, including coordination with external partners for switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPN connectivity.

• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues to minimize disruption to business and production operations.

• Assist with infrastructure improvements, including network segmentation, security enhancements, and system upgrades.

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users across office and production environments, including hardware, software, and access-related issues.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of issues as needed.

• Support uptime and functionality of shop floor technology, including PCs, scanners, printers, HMIs, and related equipment.

• Collaborate with Digital Transformation team members to provide user-level support for business systems (e.g., ERP, labeling systems), including access, connectivity, and issue triage (excluding system configuration or development).

• Manage end-user device lifecycle, including setup, deployment, maintenance, and replacement of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

• Implement and support cybersecurity practices, including endpoint protection, patching, access controls, and coordination with external providers.

• Support backup, disaster recovery processes, and periodic testing to ensure business continuity.

• Maintain compliance with internal IT policies, procedures, and security standards.

• Coordinate with external IT service providers (e.g., HBS) for escalated issues, infrastructure support, and project work.

• Document systems, processes, and recurring issues; identify opportunities to improve reliability, standardization, and support efficiency.

• Collaborate with HRTLP business leaders to support production needs and operational improvements from an IT support perspective.

• Provide basic user training and guidance on systems, tools, and best practices.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or a similar IT role

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure services

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls).

• Experience supporting technology in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under time sensitive conditions.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with virtualization (Hyper V or VMware).

• Familiarity with ERP or MES systems.

Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

• Microsoft certifications in Azure, Office 365, and\or security
