Yellowstone Club’s Property Owners Association is seeking candidates for the Sustainability Manager position. This is a full-time year-round position located in Big Sky, Montana.
Purpose: The purpose of Sustainability Manager is to manage daily operations and internal systems of refuse and recycling throughout property.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead the Internal Green committee and participate in the Club Sustainability Committee.
- Ensure that each refuse and recycling collection area on property is clean organized.
- Create an internal system for all refuse and recycling to ensure that all areas have standardized recycling and refuse containers. These may differ in back of house and front of house areas.
- Schedule and manage schedule of all refuse and recycling.
- Work as a liaison and maintain a favorable working relationship with all departments to foster and promote a positive working environment with sustainability and cleanliness as a primary focus.

- Be main point of contact for refuse and recycling needs on property.
- Be familiar with all refuse and recycling collection areas on property.
- Suggest ways to better manage and maintain refuse and recycling throughout property.
- Assist in coordination of all maintenance on compactors with Facilities and 3rd parties.
- Maintain all refuse and recycling sites in a clean and organized way, including by not limited to cleaning floors, walls and ensuring proper management of the various sites.
- Preparing communications related to refuse, recycling, ash bins, tree disposal and other related communications to be sent by the department through the Communications Manager.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance and consistency standards.
- Treat Members, guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
- Maintain privacy of our Members at all time.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers and directors.
- Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.
- Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests at all times.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

- At times assist with coordination between the department and security to review footage of issues within trash collection areas.
- Assist the Vice President of Property Owners Associations with various tasks and duties as assigned.

Experience/Education Required
- Administrative and clerical procedures and systems of processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures.
- High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work required
Experience/Education Preferred
Property management courses or equivalent experience.
Certificates & Licenses
Valid State Driver’s License
Computer Skills
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite of Products
Language Ability
Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.
Math Ability
Able to perform basic math calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.

The employee is constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.
