Rehabilitation Technician / Patient Access Specialist
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

$21.21–$29.59 per hour (Range includes Per Diem Differential) — Per Diem
Variable hours Monday–Friday 7:15am - 5:30pm

Boulder Community Health is seeking Rehabilitation Technician / Patient Access Specialist 1 that supports the delivery of outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services in a clinical setting. This role assists licensed therapists with patient care activities, maintains treatment areas and equipment, manages therapy supplies, and ensures a clean and organized clinic environment. Responsibilities also include front desk and patient access functions such as greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, verifying documentation and insurance, collecting payments, preparing paperwork, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires strong customer service skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with therapists, managers, front office staff, patients, families, and care partners while supporting a safe, efficient, and welcoming care experience.

Qualifications
•High School Graduate — Preferred
•BLC Certification - Preferred

Responsibilities
•Demonstrates BCH ENCORE values, professionalism, reliability, and strict confidentiality
•Supports licensed therapists with patient care activities as trained, serving adolescent through older adult populations
•Greets, screens, checks in, and schedules patients; verifies insurance and documentation; collects payments and balances cash drawer
•Assists patients with account questions and connects them with appropriate financial resources
•Prepares and assembles intake and evaluation paperwork; coordinates with Patient Access and Health Information Management
•Maintains therapy schedules, manages waitlists, and communicates patient arrivals to therapists
•Orders, stocks, and tracks clinical supplies, linens, and printed materials; coordinates with Purchasing
•Maintains, cleans, sanitizes, and organizes treatment rooms, equipment, waiting areas, and storage spaces
•Monitors equipment function, inflation, cleanliness, and safety; reports defects and coordinates repairs
•Serves as liaison with Facilities and Environmental Services
•Provides front desk support including phones, faxing, copying, mail distribution, and record handling
•Maintains emergency, safety, hazardous materials, and infection prevention procedures and supplies
•Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, families, staff, and leadership
•Attends meetings, reads email daily, and supports quality improvement and customer service initiatives
