Job Title: Project Lead
Division: Retail and Contract Operations
Department: Ft. Shafter Custodial Contract
Reports To: Project Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reviewed By: Human Resources
SUMMARYResponsible to provide management support to the Project Supervisor to manage and coordinate service delivery of contracts and supervision of employees. Duties include the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as a company ambassador, promoting our Mission, and representing Goodwill Hawaii in a positive professional manner at all times while performing work both internally and externally.
Responsible to understand and effectively execute the scope of work and contract requirements
Provides hands on support and assigns job tasks to employees to successfully meet contract requirements consistently. Assists with training, coaching, and supervision of personnel in policies, procedures, safety, and job duties.
Assists the Project Supervisor with quality control management. Assists with maintaining and distribution of inventory and supplies.
Responsible to properly operate and maintain cleaning equipment; submits requests for repair of cleaning equipment to supervisor.
Assist in maintaining payroll, supplies, and expenses to budgeted plan.
Responsible to ensure positive working relationships are created and maintained with contract customers, vendors, and personnel.
Responsible to notify all personnel and contract issues to the Project Supervisor in a timely manner for resolution; to include effective daily communication for successful operation and management of the contract.
Assists with the completion of all required documentation and work schedules.
Responsible to maintain a safe work environment at all times. Responsible to insure all policies, procedures, and requirements are followed consistently while performing work and holding staff accountable to do the same. All safety issues must be reported to Project Supervisor immediately.
Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma preferred. Two years work experience in custodial services involving general custodial practices, restroom sanitation, resilient floor maintenance, carpet care, cleaning chemicals. Knowledge of and experience working with disabled employees helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and to respond to inquires from government contract administrators. Ability to effectively present information / response to appropriate parties both verbally and written.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate mathematically proportions, percentages, and monetary value. Comprehension of monetary budget control for various expense elements on the project, i.e.. payroll, supplies, repairs, and to budget goals.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve problems and situations involving project activities. Ability to interpret instructions, and contract requirements as furnished written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
