About This Position
SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for the set up and operation of various types of Respiratory Therapy equipment to be utilized in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager.
Required to work with the Respiratory Supervisor and Director of Cardiopulmonary regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Respiratory Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
Experience: One (1) year acute care experience.
License: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing. Registered by the NBRC or eligible by being a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
Certification: BLS required
Other: In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, databases and general office equipment. Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and conscientious to ensure high quality work. Excellent time-management and follow-up skills to ensure work deadlines are met. Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be a positively contributing team
player and possess willingness to be cross-trained in other functional areas. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to employment data, HIPAA, and departmental operations.
Preferred: Associate Degree, ACLS certification, ACCS certification, PALS, NRP

Will spend eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
Work Environment
Clinical setting in hospital environment for both inpatients and outpatients

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
7 days a week, Sunday – Saturday 8, 12 and 16 hour shifts
