The Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) / Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) will primarily be responsible for leading stormwater compliance efforts on construction projects throughout California. The role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) in accordance with the California State Water Resources Control Board’s Construction General Permit. In addition, the role will include supporting SWPPP development and inspection on construction projects in other jurisdictions.

Sacramento and Los Angeles
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular inspections, as well as rain-event inspections, on a variety of construction sites to identify potential environmental hazards and ensure compliance with SWPPP and other relevant regulations.
- Document all inspection findings and communicate them to the Compliance Management Team.
- Inspect areas of concern, as identified, and make appropriate recommendations to construction personnel, as required.
- Developing and implementing corrective action plans and mitigation measures for any identified environmental issues or hazards.
- Coordinate with construction personnel to implement Best Management Practices to address issues impacting compliance.
- Develop and update SWPPPs for construction sites.
- Prepare and submit Notice of Intent (NOI), SWPPPs, regular reports, annual reports, and Notice of Termination (NOT) through the Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS).
- Providing technical guidance to the project team regarding SWPPP and other environmental regulations.
- Provide guidance and direction to the project team with respect to the Clean Water Act and NPDES permits
- Interacting with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and obtain necessary permits.
