Job Description

We’re looking for Grounds Workers who are excited to support the daily operations and upkeep of our hospital facilities. In this role, you’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks including equipment servicing, facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment. We value reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, and we’re excited to welcome team members who take pride in maintaining high-quality spaces for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties

• Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul hospital equipment and facilities

• Maintain grounds, including irrigation systems and landscaping

• Operate and maintain small equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, and leaf blowers

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective facility support services and contribute to a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds keeping, including sprinkler system maintenance and repair

• Knowledge of desert landscaping, including xeriscape concepts and planting

• Familiarity with general hand tools (e.g., hula hoe, shovel, rake, broom)

• Knowledge of small engine operation and maintenance; minor repair experience preferred

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language

• Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
