Senior Vice President, Specialty Practice Service Lines and Academic Affiliations at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs the administration and operation of University Health and the University Health’s Academic Affiliations, Program Service lines and inpatient and outpatient specialty practices (non primary care) for inpatient and ambulatory facilities. Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission of University Health as well as to the proper stewardship of its resources. Leads the University Health’s efforts to achieve and maintain operational effectiveness, financial success, quality of care and outstanding patient and provider satisfaction. Responsible to the President/Chief Executive.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Medical degree required. Physician with current board certification in a specialty that provides inpatient and outpatient services. A minimum of five years of proven experience in progressive physician or healthcare field/administration with a university/academic affiliated hospital is required.
