This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving strategic growth in the emerging field of early cancer detection. The Director will identify, evaluate, and execute high-impact business opportunities, including partnerships, licensing agreements, and potential acquisitions. This position involves negotiating complex deals, building strong relationships with clinical, supply, and commercial partners, and collaborating closely with internal teams across R&D, product, and clinical operations. The ideal candidate combines scientific understanding with commercial acumen, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and has a proven track record in deal-making within the life sciences sector. - Develop and execute strategic partnerships with suppliers, clinical study partners, and other external stakeholders to expand business opportunities
- Lead negotiations, structure agreements, and drive deal execution in collaboration with legal, finance, and executive leadership
- Build and maintain a pipeline of growth opportunities by monitoring the evolving early cancer detection landscape and technologies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Product, and Clinical Affairs to ensure alignment of external opportunities with internal strategy
- Represent the organization in discussions with partners, customers, and suppliers, maintaining credibility and fostering long-term relationships
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on potential acquisitions, licensing deals, and partnership agreements
Requirements:
- 8–10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development within biopharma, diagnostics, or life sciences
- Proven track record of structuring and closing deals, ideally in oncology or diagnostics
- Strong scientific and commercial understanding of oncology, immunology, or related therapeutic areas
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field; advanced degree (PhD) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and manage complex negotiations
- Strong analytical, modeling, and deal evaluation skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and influence partners
- Preferred: experience in corporate business development, investment banking, or management consulting, with exposure to diagnostics, software, life sciences, or private equity
