JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• The candidate will be a member of the team responsible for world-wide validation of metal face seals. As a Test & Validation Engineer in this team you will serve as an individual contributor on projects and assignments that support and enhance product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain multiple seal validation test benches
• Author and update safe job & lock out tag out procedures for seal test equipment
• Manage internal/external validation test requests and support quality/material/design improvement projects
• Perform/Apply root cause analysis on field returns
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement) projects
• Collaborate with system engineering teams, internal and external, to identify/validate optimum sealing system solutions
• Create and deliver technical reports
• Research and develop new sealing technologies

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• BS Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace, Agricultural; 2nd preferred metallurgical, advanced physics
• Years of experience: 0 -2 years

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in Creo or related CAD software

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Previous test/validation experience
• Experience with data analysis software
• Experience with instrumentation/controller software
• Working experience with metallic and non-metallic materials or components
