Therapist – Hickory Treatment Centers
Department: Clinical
Direct Report To: Clinical Director
About the RoleThe Therapist will serve as a direct clinical professional providing individual, group, and family therapy.
Under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Director, Therapists will treat a selected caseload of clients suffering from behavioral health and addiction related issues. These clinicians must be able to perform biopsychosocial assessments, participate in multi-disciplinary treatment, and discharge planning for clients.

- Master’s Degree and Current Indiana Licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PSY.D, LPCC) or License Eligibility
- At least 2 years prior experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, with residential treatment experience preferred.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
- Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR.
- Knowledge of “best practices” behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
- Knowledge of MAT services or MAT certification preferred.
- Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele.
Clinical Responsibilities and Client Care
- Contact assigned clients within 24 hours of admission and conduct weekly 1:1 encounters
- Complete Biopsychosocial, Admission Note, ASAM Level 3.5 Criteria, SUD Treatment Plan, and assign diagnosis within 24 hours of admission.
- Complete weekly 1:1 Session Notes, SUD Treatment Plan Updates, and ASAM Criteria Updates for each assigned client.
- Effectively lead therapeutic groups and complete Group Session Individual Notes in the EMR
- Complete Columbia Suicide Severity Scale, ASAM Discharge/Transfer Criteria, and Discharge Summary/Aftercare Plan at discharge.
- Assess, respond to, and document suicide risk appropriately
Documentation, EMR & Compliance
- Review and sign Case Management progress Notes every seven days for each assigned client
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, including proper procedures for release of client information.
- Follow policy and procedure when a client requests discharge AMA
- Ensure all clinical documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements
Professional Standards, Licensing, & Team Participation
- Maintain current license, certification, and registration as applicable
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- Attend weekly staffing meetings with the treatment team
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical Director or Executive Director
Safety, Infection Control & Reporting
- Report safety hazards to the supervisor or Executive Director.
- Perform appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
- Independently Licensed: $70,000 - $75,000 annually
- License Eligible: $65,000 – $70,000 annually
- Master’s Level: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
