Pulmonary Function Tech (PT-Day), Eatontown NJ at RWJBarnabas Health – Eatontown, New Jersey

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified part-time Pulmonary Function Tech in Eatontown, NJ.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of an AMA approved Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree granting program in Respiratory Care
• Registered Respiratory Therapist as determined by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS - AHA approved required
• NJ Respiratory Care License required
• Certified Respiratory Therapist

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 16 hours/week
• Part Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

• Perform pulmonary function tests, such as spirometry, lung volumes, and cardiopulmonary exercise tests, according to department and ATS standards
• Operate, monitor, and maintain equipment used in pulmonary testing
• Calibrate instruments and analyze and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Explain testing procedures to patients, educate patients on how to use pulmonary equipment, and monitor patients' diagnostic and therapeutic progress
• Communicate with other patient care team members to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain equipment and supplies for testing in lab
