Groomer in Yorktown, Virginia at Community Vet

Grafton Animal Hospital is seeking a professional groomer to join our well-established veterinary hospital. We have been serving the Hampton Roads area for more than 25 years.

Your job duties will include:

• Consulting with clients as to their grooming expectations
• Bathing, drying, brushing, de-matting, nail trimming, clipping and scissoring as needed
• Keeping detailed notes of grooming work for each pet
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments safely
• Notifying veterinary personnel of any health concerns while grooming
• Working with receptionist team for appointment scheduling
• Working with current groomer and providing assistance as needed
• Following hospital protocols

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Prior grooming/grooming assistance experience with dogs and cats.
• Knowledge of basic dog and cat care.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more.
