Job Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to belong. For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. Through amazing programs, caring staff, and a safe atmosphere, we give youth a place to go when they need support, care and most importantly, fun. We give youth a place to call home.

BGCLC is looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to be an active member of the local Club staff and serve as a solution-oriented and collaborative leader.

In this position, you will:

  • Work with the Behavioral Health Team (BHT) to collaboratively build the social-emotional competence of members and staff through programming and training.
  • Plan and facilitate select components of overall staff training related to social work expertise (e.g. Trauma-Informed care, child development, behavioral health, family support, parent engagement, crisis response, de-escalation methods, social-emotional development, positive discipline methods, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and all significant interactions with clients. Complete progress notes no later than two working days following the day of service.
  • Creating and building community partnerships with entities that may be beneficial to Club families, staff, and youth.
  • Connecting youth and families to additional supportive services , when needed.
  • Oversight of all direct reports within the Behavioral Health Department, providing them with adequate support, feedback, supervision, and guidance, including licensure supervision when applicable.
  • Utilize research & data to determine BHT best practices regarding therapy, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed care.
  • Create relationships with staff, youth, and families.
  • Travel to Club sites to work with Club Members and staff.
  • Must adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics, mandatory reporting requirements, and comply with all BGCLC policies and procedures.
  • May provide clinical supervision for MSW or BSW/human service student-interns who are in the Club.
  • Participates in ongoing clinical supervision and staff meetings.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

Education

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited college or university.
  • LCSW Colorado State Licensure required.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in behavior intervention, youth development, small group facilitation, and/or case management required.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships with BGCLC staff, Board Members, volunteers, community groups, and other related agencies.
  • Proficient user of MS Office, Google Suite, and other databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance is required.
