Under the direction of the Warehouse General Manager, the Delivery & Installation Associate is responsible for ensuring that merchandise is delivered and installed in a timely, safe, and professional manner. This position works closely with the Delivery Coordinator, warehouse team, sales staff, and customers to ensure a high-quality customer experience. This role involves hands-on work in loading, transporting, delivering, and installing merchandise, while upholding American Sale’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and exceptional service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
- Ability to drive a pickup truck with an attached trailer without the need for additional training.
- Ability to operate warehouse and delivery equipment (e.g., forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks).
- Proficiency with delivery paperwork and communication tools (basic computer, comfortable with Apps on cell phones and tablets a plus).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Deliver and install products such as spas, patio furniture, billiards, and other merchandise according to company procedures.
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the delivery and installation process.
- Load and unload merchandise from company vehicles using safe handling practices.
- Ensure accurate, damage-free deliveries with proper paperwork and documentation.
- Safely operate trucks, including pickup trucks with attached trailers, without additional training.
- Assist with routing to maximize delivery efficiency and reduce travel gaps.
- Perform site assessments for complex installations as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, delivery areas, and tools.
- Communicate with store and warehouse staff to resolve delivery or product-related concerns.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures, and use personal protective equipment as required.
- Assist with annual physical inventory and warehouse duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 34 feet.
- Dexterity to handle tools, operate machinery, and complete documentation.
- Exposure to potential safety hazards related to pool/spa chemicals and installation equipment.
Schedule & Availability
- Primarily day or evening shifts, with some weekends as needed.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel to customer homes, store locations, and local supply vendors using company vehicles.
Work Environment
This position works in warehouse and customer home environments, with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions. Noise levels vary and may require protective gear during equipment operation.
