- Wine serviceSommeliers ensure impeccable wine service, including preventing over-pouring and getting replacements for corked bottles.
- Wine inventory managementSommeliers manage wine inventories, including purchasing, receiving, and processing orders.
- Wine educationSommeliers train staff on wine and other beverages, and may also conduct wine tastings and workshops.
- Industry trendsSommeliers research food and wine industry trends to stay competitive and attract guests.
- Customer serviceSommeliers interact with customers and provide expert advice on food and wine pairings.
- SalesSommeliers may use their sales skills to upsell to customers.
- Budget and salesSommeliers work with management to understand budget information and sales targets.
