About This Position

EEC Solutions is actively looking for an Information Security Administration Specialist. HubZone residents are encouraged to apply.

The Information Security Administration Specialist position is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of security measures to protect classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) against unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss. This position involves drafting policies, procedures, standards, and training programs, for US Government review and approval, to ensure the safeguarding of classified and sensitive government information and materials in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements. The specialist will also assist in evaluating and validating the severity of security incidents, assist in the management of security inquiries, provide guidance to inquiry officials, maintain incident databases, and produce incident documentation to senior leadership for their review, concurrence, and awareness. This position requires significant knowledge and abilities to determine appropriate classification levels, apply security classification guidance, and identify protection measures.

The role requires on-site presence and availability to support 24-hour operations as needed, though standard working hours are 0700–1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays or approved leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy and Procedure Development: Draft and maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and methods for identifying and protecting classified and CUI information.
Security Identification: Identify information, technologies, and materials restricted from unauthorized personnel or transfer to foreign nations and provide guidance and support to security incident responses and inquiries.
Systems Evaluation: Assess and provide recommendations on operating systems and technical solutions used to safeguard classified and sensitive information.
Security Classification Analysis: Analyze and evaluate information to recommend appropriate security classification levels and necessary protective measures.
Protection Recommendations: Advise the government team on materials, processes, and information requiring protection and the most effective means to safeguard them.
Training and Awareness: Support and manage comprehensive security education, training, and awareness programs for government and contractor personnel.
Instructional Support: Develop and deliver both formal and informal training on handling, safeguarding, and destroying classified and CUI materials.
Operational Support: Provide on-site security support, ensuring availability for 24-hour operations as needed within standard work hours of 0700–1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Qualifications:

It's required that the Information Security Administration Support position has the following qualifications:

a. Three years dedicated/full-time experience managing Information Security Program at the Installation, Major Command, Headquarters, or Agency/Component level.
b. Three years in Technical Writing focusing on policy, instructions and directives.
c. Two years’ experience in briefing security management principles.
d. Two years’ experience in compliance (Inspector General) and oversight (self-assessment) inspections.
e. Clearance: Must be a US citizen and possess and maintain an active favorably adjudicated background investigation for access up to the TOP SECRET classification level with SCI eligibility.
