A Day in the Life of a Senior Superintendent
Are you energized by leading projects and mentoring others? Do you thrive on collaborating with teams, brainstorming creative solutions, and keeping complex projects on schedule? As a Senior Superintendent, you’ll set the tone on-site by providing leadership, fostering collaboration, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency every day.

We’d count on you to:

  • Lead the Jobsite: Partner with the Granger project team and direct subcontractors daily. Anticipate client needs and set projects up for success.
  • Mentor & Guide: Engage and mentor team members; provide learning opportunities for less experienced personnel and ensure a collaborative environment.
  • Manage Costs: Establish goals and plans; ensure subcontractors perform within scope and hold accountability for out-of-scope work; work closely with Project Managers for resolution.
  • Drive Schedule & Quality: Develop and oversee project schedules, coordinate sequencing of work, and hold subcontractors accountable for execution. Partner with the team to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador: Represent Granger’s values- trust, honesty, fairness, integrity, and appreciation- in every interaction with owners, subcontractors, and the community.

What Experience You Bring

  • Proven Experience: Previous oversight of commercial construction projects ranging from $85M–$150M; healthcare project experience preferred but not required.
  • Organizational Strength: Strong ability to manage priorities, time, and details.
  • Leadership by Example: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Proactive Mindset: Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and solve problems before they arise.
  • Results-Oriented: Tenacity to self-start, follow through, and drive deadlines.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfort with construction management technologies and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
