Service Writer / Customer Liaison at CORRIGAN ENTERPRISES, INC. – MUNCIE, Indiana

The primary function of the Service Writer/Customer Liaison is to serve as the point of contact and quarterback the communication of Shop work and customer priorities of equipment to be repaired. Ensuring efficient scheduling and communication of timeline of work needed. This will also have admin duties that are subject to change based on need but will have regular daily duties. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Shop Manager and Director of Maintenance.

Work closely with the shop leadership team, parts dept and technicians.

Aid in the maintenance and accuracy of customer, equipment, and company information.

Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected turnaround times.

Discussing workload of specific customers/depts. equipment needing service and prioritizing work by communicating with them and shop management.

Review repair orders for accuracy and complete them for invoicing.

Create quotes for customers in conjunction with the techs, parts team, and shop management.

Communicating when work is complete and give a summary of repairs.

Resolve billing and payment issues in a timely manner.

Serve as a secondary point of contact for customer/driver complaints.

Handle breakdowns.

Able to handle high stress situations and frequent interruptions.

Good interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.

Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.

Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.

Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.

Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

High school diploma or GED Required

Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.

Attention to detail including follow up and follow through.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Ability to train and coach team members.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Pass 7-year criminal background check.
