About This Position
The purpose of this Probation Officer position is to provide supervision and case management services to clients on probation including pretrial, supervised release, and probation supervision.
Responsibilities include monitoring clients on probation; enforcing compliance with the law; protecting the community; holding offenders accountable; aiding offenders in competency development; drug testing; and, working with the Treatment Court Team.

| Provides supervision and correctional counseling of assigned cases to ensure that the conditions of the Court orders and probation disposition are satisfied. | Daily 35% | C4 |
| Coordinates supervision of offenders with outside agencies. Conducts interstate and intrastate investigations. Refers offenders to agencies for a variety of services. | Daily 15% | C4 |
| Conducts presentence investigations, pre-plea reports, domestic abuse assessments, violations reports, progress reports, bail evaluations, collateral contacts, and restitution analysis. | Daily 5% | C4 |
| Prepares reports, recommendations, or assessments for the Court for sentencing, re-sentencing, probation discharge, or extension. Participates in the hearings and release unit processes. | Daily 5% | C4 |
| Provides services and supports to runaway youth to ensure they have a safe and stable living environment and report to Court appropriately. | Daily 2% | C4 |
| Performs assessment of offender risk and needs. | Daily 2% | C4 |
| Conducts field compliance checks, monitors referrals, and responds to violations. Conducts searches of offenders, their residencies, and their vehicles. | Daily 13% | B2 |
| Completes admissions criteria and paperwork, and provides background information to placement facilities. | Daily 2% | B2 |
| Collects bodily fluids to offenders; submits offender mouth swabs; completes Predatory Offender registration. Coordinates drug testing and fingerprinting activities. | Daily 5% | B2 |
| Maintains working relationships with law enforcement and other agencies; participates in various supervision programs. Issues apprehension and detention orders. | Daily 8% | B2 |

Minimum Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license;
- A bachelor's degree in Corrections or a related field; and
- Six (6) months of related experience.
