About This Position
Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - HomeCare Maryland
Location: Baltimore County & Baltimore City, Maryland
Position Overview:
HomeCare Maryland is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home physical therapy services to patients. In this role, you'll work under the ongoing supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to help patients achieve their goals for mobility and independence in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services in the home setting based on patient assessments and goals set by the Physical Therapist.

Instruct and assist patients and their caregivers in various therapeutic interventions such as: positioning, ROM (Range of Motion), transfer training, gait training, neuro reeducation, home safety education, and more.

Collaborate closely with patients/caregivers to ensure progress and meet established care goals.

Document and report patient progress and changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist and clinical team.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with other staff to ensure that all patient needs are met.

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment for patients, following infection control procedures.

Follow HomeCare Maryland’s policies and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations regarding patient care and confidentiality.
Education & Experience:

Current Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant License
-
AHA BLS CPR Required
-
Experience in home care or outpatient therapy settings is preferred, but not required.
