About This Position
ABOUT PARENTING ARIZONA
CPLC Parenting Arizona provide family support services statewide through prevention, intervention and treatment programs. These services promote strong families by empowering parents to thrive, thereby creating communities where parents have the skills to raise healthy and successful children.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
- Oversee and facilitate school-based family resource centers
- Empower parents through education and provide resources and referrals
- Support parent involvement activities and advocate for families
- Guide families in navigating community resources
- Ensure compliance with all F.U.S.D. precautions and protocols
- Support staff, faculty, interns, and affiliates as needed
- Submit timely programmatic and financial reports to supervisors and grant funders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in child development, family studies, psychology, social work, or related field—or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years working directly with culturally and economically diverse families, parents, infants, and children
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Bilingual (English and Spanish/Navajo/Hopi) preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license, safe transportation, and automobile insurance
- Valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance card
- CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment
- Minimum 20 hours of continuing education per fiscal year (Relias Learning, conferences, workshops, etc.)
- Knowledge/experience in infant/child development, parent-child attachment, caregiver behavioral health, and dynamics of child abuse/neglect
- Knowledge/experience in strength-based, family-centered primary prevention services
- Ability to identify individual/family strengths, plan and advocate around family goals
- Knowledge of community resources and how to access them
- Nonjudgmental, reflective, empathetic, patient, and tactful
