Job Purpose

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of our company's regional sites/locations.

Responsibilities for Regional Operations Manager:

  • Actively assist in any company wide strategy for the benefit of the business.
  • Manage any incentive schemes as they relate to your region, with your employees.
  • Provide guidance and identify support requirements that enable you to manage your region effectively.
  • Ensure technical assistance is provided to your employees where required.
  • Ensure all employees act and behave in a courteous / professional manner at all times.
  • Take ownership of any concerns, priority or otherwise, that directly affect the operation of our business in your area.
  • Train new Site Managers in each site/location.
  • Analyze financial data and effectively utilize information to drive regional operational improvements to obtain the desired financial results.
  • Perform routine site audits to manage efficient repair, maintenance, inspection, security and operation of all areas.
  • Ensure proper guidelines and procedures are followed and escalate major hazards which present safety issues to Leadership Staff.
  • Maintain a good and professional working relationship with Site Managers, Mechanics, Office staff and School officials.
  • Track overtime, attendance, and PTO and keep teammates up-to-date on policies, new laws and regulations impacting work, and other information necessary to maintain teammates’ knowledge of department processes and goals.
  • Know, understand, follow, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
  • All other tasks or duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications for Regional Operations Manager:

  • Proven track record of reducing operating expenses and identifying and implementing productivity improvements in operations.
  • Experience in online Payroll systems is a plus (UKG, Kronos, Workforce Management)

  • The ability to work on multiple projects and solve complex operational and human resource challenges.
  • Individuals in this position are expected to work beyond normal business hours and/or to fill open positions when necessary or as assigned.
  • Confident and engaging and able to relate to people at all levels.
  • Strong planning, decision making and leadership skills are essential.
  • Recruits, hires and trains staff including managing, evaluating, coaching and disciplining
  • Responsible for coordinating and directing the maintenance and repair of all company and client property and equipment including vehicles.
  • Maintain and enhance a strong service-oriented environment focused on enhancing the customer experience through timely and quality delivery of students.
  • Current and valid CDL with SB and P endorsements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:

  • Able to schedule and set priorities for work to be accomplished.
  • Working knowledge of phones, computers and electronic data processing to include Google Drive and Internet experience.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Able to deal with problems and find solutions.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Able to interact / communicate successfully with personnel at all levels
  • Able to work through demanding situations in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work in an organized manner while handling multiple tasks.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:

  • Usually work indoors. May occasionally repair buses on the road.
  • Sometimes work with hazardous equipment, tools, situations, and conditions.
  • Wear company issued uniform.
  • Wear protective / safety gear as required.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
