Certified Surgical Technician (CST)-Operating Room (OR) at Southwestern Vermont Health Care – Bennington, Vermont

Join our Periop team today! Under the direct supervision of a board certified surgeon, the surgical tech requires national surgical technician certification within 3 months of completion of program.

OR graduation completion from accredited school of nursing and obtaining Practical Nursing licensure in state of Vermont. (LPN)

Prior operating room experience (surgical scrub and/or nursing) experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Successful graduation from a national certified surgical technician program required or successful graduation from accredited practical nursing program required, but may work in the OR assisting medical team while actively enrolled in a surgical technician program only.
• Prior nursing assistant or OR Tech experience preferred
• CST certification required within 90 days of hire or Vermont State Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma required.
• BLS required within 90 days
