Design Electric is hiring an experienced Electrician to join our commercial and industrial team. This is a hands-on position for someone who can safely complete electrical installations, read drawings, solve problems, and work productively with limited supervision. This position requires at least four years of verifiable, hands-on commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.

This is not an entry-level or beginning apprentice position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience performing electrical work.

As an Electrician at Design, you will work alongside a Superintendent, Foreman, or Leadman to safely and efficiently complete commercial and industrial projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Bending and installing conduit
• Pulling, routing, and terminating wire and cable
• Installing electrical equipment, devices, fixtures, and related components
• Reading and working from blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Identifying and troubleshooting electrical issues
• Completing work in accordance with the National Electrical Code, project requirements, and company safety standards
• Planning your work and using materials responsibly
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work area
• Communicating professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades
• Supporting and mentoring less-experienced team members when needed

Qualified candidates should have:

• At least four years of verifiable commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
• Experience bending conduit, pulling wire, making terminations, and installing electrical systems
• The ability to read prints, drawings, and specifications
• A solid understanding of electrical codes and safe work practices
• The ability to complete assigned work with limited supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable attendance and professional communication
• A collaborative attitude and pride in the electrical trade
• Authorization to work in the United States

A current Journeyman Electrician license is preferred but not required.
