Central Service Technician - Dental at Family Health Center of Marshfield Inc – Rice Lake, Wisconsin

The Central Service Technician - Dental is responsible for phases of the supply process, collection and distribution functions, for services to various departments. This individual has a responsibility of contributing to the quality of patient care through strict quality assurance and efficient practices of decontaminating surgical equipment and instruments through proper cleaning, inspecting, maintaining, assembling, packaging and monitoring sterilization of instruments and supplies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications

must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred/Optional: Currently enrolled in/attending/completed an accredited HSPA or CBSPD sterile processing technician program.

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Central service experience of sterilizing medical equipment.

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heat Association (AHA) within three months of hire and one of the following within two years of hire:

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA and one of the following at time of hire:

• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or
• Military equivalency
