About This Position

Position Overview

This role will be responsible for daily cash posting and cash reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of cash posting. This role will assist the collection team in their collection efforts by researching and working closely with the Inside Sales Team to resolve any discrepancies. This is a contract position with a maximum duration of three months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform customer setups and maintenance in ERP system and excel master file.
  • Assist with processing of vendor payment via checks, ACHs, credit cards, wires, etc. in both Syteline (ERP) and bank (Veritex).
  • Ensure invoices are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with company policies.
  • Review purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers/employees to resolve payment processing issues.
  • Responsible for daily cash posting following the established cash application process.
  • Assist in reconciling customer statements.

Required/Preferred Education & Experience

  • High School diploma required, some college or secondary education in business, finance, mathematics, or accounting is preferred.
  • 2- 3 years of related accounts payable/receivable experience required or 6 months experience as an Cash Application Specialist I, preferred.
  • Experience with Infor ERP systems such as Syteline preferred.
