Position Summary: The Mechanical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and is a key member of the Engineering Team. This position will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and executing engineering activities for the company. Key Areas of Responsibility: - Create 3D models of existing machines in Solidworks - Create drawings in Solidworks according to industry standard drawing practices - Create complex assemblies primarily working in Solidworks sheetmetal - Create part numbers following a proper naming convention - Use ERP software to establish part numbers and related data in the system - Analyze existing drawings/models implement improvements - Maintain accurate Bills Of Materials (BOM) - Document changes with change control using industry standard change management practices (Solidworks PDM experience a plus) General -Comply with the company safety procedures.
